A POSTCARD CAMPAIGN
The purpose of a postcard campaign is to generate enquiries from qualified, interested prospects. Once you have the inquiry, then you
use your normal sales routine. The most effective message on a postcard is a BRIEF one. It presents just one major benefit your
reader can gain by using your product and tells them exactly what to do to get more information (i.e. Call this number..., or, FAX this
card to..., or, EMAIL to me at.....).
Nearly 100% of the people who get your postcard will read it... IF your message is brief. There's no envelope to open, no letter or
brochure to unfold. Your message is right in front of their eyes. Even busy executives who open their own mail standing over the trash
bin will read your message. Even secretaries will usually let a postcard past to their decision-maker.
Make your postcard simple and clear. The message should be personal, concise, and easy to grasp in a second or two. Use this
technique and 95% of your target audience will see it. Your goal is to get your offer in front of as many people as possible. Those who
are interested will respond. Being the message that got READ is the major goal of a postcard.
